The next morning we strolled the waterfront—again. Both of us had fallen for Melbourne. David had always said he would never live in a city, but if he ever did, it would be Melbourne. Sunrise. We slung daypacks over our arms and went downstairs for a hearty breakfast before meeting Trevor, our guide for a wine tour of the Macedon Ranges. On the bus with us were a couple from Malaysia, an Aussie couple, and two women from Sydney, each traveling alone. A friendly group, we chatted most of the way to our first destination—Cloud 9 Farm.
