Our plan for the day was to visit the Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Colorado 2018: Art District on Santa Fe
In search of street art to photograph, and some exercise, we walked to the Art District on Santa Fe and spent hours snapping photos, but we barely scratched the surface when it came to outdoor art. Denver appears to be a hotbed for urban art, and I look forward to a return visit to the Mile High City. Denver is nicknamed this because it sits at an elevation of 5,280 feet, or one mile, above sea level. read more…
Colorado 2018: Denver Walk
Our city walk began with a visit to the Frederic C. Hamilton Building of the Denver Art Museum (DAM). To accommodate the DAM’s growing collections, the museum commissioned architect Daniel Libeskind to design the 146,000-square-foot expansion that would be named after legendary philanthropist Frederic C. Hamilton. The building was completed in 2006. read more…
