Tasmania 2014: Hobart

The next morning we strolled the waterfront—again. Both of us had fallen for Melbourne. David had always said he would never live in a city, but if he ever did, it would be Melbourne. Australia 2014: Melbourne

Sunrise. We slung daypacks over our arms and went downstairs for a hearty breakfast before meeting Trevor, our guide for a wine tour of the Macedon Ranges. On the bus with us were a couple from Malaysia, an Aussie couple, and two women from Sydney, each traveling alone. New Zealand 2014: Dunedin

Over breakfast, Jen, Bruce, David, and I continued our conversation of the night before as though it had never ended. And again we remained at our table talking long after the other guests had departed from the dining room. To avoid having the waitstaff work around us, we moved to the living room to say our goodbyes, and we promised to keep in touch via email. It was time for them to leave for Queenstown and for us to drive to Dunedin. Continue reading
